Skylonda Apple Crisp
2 pounds tart apples, sliced (5-6 cups) 1/4 cup water 1/2 cup white sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 tsp nutmeg 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/4+ tsp salt 3/4 cup flour 1/2 cup butter
Use 1 quart casserole, buttered.
Place sliced apples in casserole. Sprinkle water over apples.
Sift / mix together dry ingredients and mix in butter coarsely. Sprinkle mixture over apples. Do not mix the mixture with the apples.
Bake at 350F, covered, for 30 minutes. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes. Crust should crisp on top.
Let stand at least 15 minutes before serving.
